Houseplant care & repotting in Athens, GA
Pot It Like It's Hot
Roots circling the pot like they're looking for an exit? Soil that's more dust bunny than dirt? Plant suddenly too big for its britches… or its pot?
Put down the trowel and back away slowly. I'll pot it like it's hot. π₯
What I'll get my hands dirty for
Plant-astic services
- Repotting, refreshing & full-on plant rehab
- Root-bound babies & root cleanup
- Dividing, pruning & propagating (when your plant's into it)
- Custom potting mixes, because a cactus and a fern do not want the same dirt
- Nursery pots, if you need 'em
- Cleaning up the mess. You'll never know I was there, except your plants will look amazing
π Heads up, what I don't do: pests. No ma'am, I'm not getting involved in a pest situation. Evict the critters first, and then I'm happy to help with everything else.
Hi! I'm your plant lady π
Your dreaded plant chore is my idea of a fun time
I'm an avid houseplant collector and personally keep 100+ plants alive in my own home. (Yes, all of them. No, I will not be taking questions about where they all fit.)
I genuinely love repotting, propagating, mixing up custom soils, and figuring out what each plant needs to thrive. So whether it's a repot, a rehab, or a general βplease help, I don't know wtf my plant wants from meβ situation, I'm your gal.
A peek at my jungle
Is it time to repot?
Fine on top. Meanwhile, roots not so hot…
Signs your plant is ready for a bigger home:
- Roots poking out of the drainage holes
- Water runs straight through the pot
- Soil that's crusty, compacted, or years old
- Roots circling the top of the soil
- It's top-heavy and tipping over
- Growth has stalled, even though you're watering and feeding
Sound familiar? Roots gotta stretch! Let's get them a bigger home. π±
Bigger isn't always better
Sometimes you need to glow down
Some plants like to be snug! Put a little plant in a giant pot and all that extra soil stays wet long after the roots have had their drink. Soggy soil means unhappy roots, and unhappy roots mean a sad, droopy plant.
If your plant is swimming in its pot, it might need a smaller home, not a bigger one. I'll size it down to something cozy so it can get back to thriving.
The dirt on pricing
Two ways to get potted
Need soil and/or pots? I can supply them. Both are priced by the pot's width:
| Potting mix | $1 per inch of pot width |
| Nursery pot (plastic only) | $1 per inch of pot width |
Plant math: Providing an 8" pot is $8 for the pot and $8 for the soil. Specialty mixes or amendments may cost a bit more.
Only need soil? Or just need pots? No problem, you only pay for what I supply.
Drop-off examples: how it adds up
Pot and soil only if you need them. Bring your own means you supply them, Supplies provided means I do.

Plant-FAQs
How do I measure my pot?
Measure straight across the top of the pot, rim to rim. Your price goes by the size of the larger pot your plant is moving into, and that same number sets the supply prices.
How much bigger? Most plants move up 2", sometimes just 1". A REALLY root-bound plant might want 3". (Bigger isn't always better, remember the glow down!)
Can I bring my own pots and soil?
Absolutely! I'll work with what you've got, or fill in whatever's missing at the supply prices above.
I live outside the Loop. Can you still come?
Yes! A small travel fee may apply depending on distance. Send me your location and I'll confirm the fee before we schedule.
My plant is HUGE. Can you handle it?
Probably! For 15"+ pots or particularly big, heavy plants, send me a photo and I'll give you a quote.
Do you charge for estimates?
Photo estimates are free! Send me pics of your plants (and the bottoms of the pots, where the root drama lives) and I'll tell you what likely needs repotting.
Want me to take a look in person first? That's a regular house call at $50/hour, and if you book repotting during the same visit, it all counts as one visit.
How do I pay?
Venmo is preferred, but I also take Cash App, Zelle, cash, and even checks. Pretty much all the things.
Let's give those roots some love π
Tell me what's going on with your plants, roughly how big their pots are, and whether you already have new pots or soil.
πΈ Photos help! Add photos of your plants (and the bottoms of the pots, where the root drama lives) with the optional box below. Glamour shots not required.
Got it! Thank you π±
